Weekly Reflections

Monday 11/05

Busy day. The whole day feels rushed, not unusual for a Monday. Sale class numbers have slightly dropped since Jan/Feb, I wish I was better at marketing my sessions.. I've got a busy week ahead with visitors, work and study.

.

I’ve got a Homeopathy case I need to get stuck into, but I’m also really in need of looking at my cues for certain Pilates movements. Balancing both my work and studies can be challenging.

Bed by midnight which is way too late.

Tuesday 12/05

A great class. I saw lots of progress tonight, particularly with the Teaser which is really hard to teach.

Wednesday 13/05

Day off.

Thursday 14/05

I took the daytime off, too. I haven't done any work or emails for two days. There’s a little bit of anxiety because I always feel like I have to be doing something, but then I look at my bookings and tonight’s class is almost full.

A couple of new people joined, and last week’s newbies attended again, which is great.

It feels very busy setting up and welcoming people in. I sense everyone is relaxed; lots of chatter between regulars and friends, some people lying down, others stretching. This class continues to grow in size, progress, and its sense of community.

Great, I’m in bed for 9:30 PM... busy day tomorrow.

Friday 15/05

Up at 6 AM, I cycle in.

A few people are on holiday, so I know it’ll be quieter than normal; a regular drop-in attends in place of someone else. I know this group well and they are very chatty, so I have to interrupt their small groups of what sounds like interesting conversations about all sorts, I’d love to join in... but we’re here for Pilates.

Today’s class was a lot about engaging the deep abdominals in the Hundreds, Single Leg Stretch, and Roll Up. I’m also working on spinal articulation and changing my cues for the moves that involve that... I know I can get more out of them in the Standing Roll Down and Roll Up. Anyway… next week.

Home quick and straight into the Homeopathy online clinic! Three people attend with various complaints I must watch and listen then we all discuss the case. I manage to grab a piece of toast when I get in and that’s it until 3 PM.

Saturday & Sunday 16&17/05

It's college weekend so I'm studying Homeopathy both days. Thinking about how I'll do things next year alongside my Pilates classes once I'm qualified.
